Spiritual Awakening Essay examples - 1553 Words
Iââ¬â¢d like to state the most obvious observation that Iââ¬â¢ve made about spiritual formation; that is that I will always need to be seeking for ways to nurture my personal spirituality throughout my life. I know that to most people this may sound like a ââ¬Å"duhâ⬠statement, but for me it has truly become a reality and one that I must admit I have been struggling to embrace. In the moments to come, through some very introspective conversation, I realized that I had been approaching the entire idea of ministry from the wrong direction. Without realizing it I had made it a ââ¬Å"strong on the outsideâ⬠thing. I had completely avoided the true spiritual formation that needed to be occurring on the inside. Although this was probably the most ââ¬Ërollercoaster-eskââ¬â¢ conversation that I had ever had regarding my personal spirituality, Iââ¬â¢m glad that it happened. I now have a better understanding of the habits that I still need to die to and the kind of mentorship I need to seek out and learn from. With this conversation in my mind I now went out to perform the researchShow MoreRelatedThe Spiritual Awakening1265 Words à |à 5 PagesThe idea of salvation or having an awakening moment of oneââ¬â¢s spirit is something that is different for every individual.
